Project-centric Web Parts for SharePoint
For those organisations who have already deployed SharePoint Portal solutions the use of CaptureProject™ - SharePoint from Cad-Capture provides the following:
Project AdministrationThe Project Administration Web Part manages the creation, approval, and publishing of projects into SharePoint sites.
Collaboration Solutions:
Organisations and project members can be defined, with Organisation administrators able to manage the membership of their own organisations, and projects organisation members are working on.
Each organisation can specify its own document controllers for each project; these document controllers will issue and receive transmittals created in CaptureTransmit.
The Project Access Request Web Part allows users to request project access. Project administrators may then allow or deny access, ensuring the organisation and project specified by the user are matched to a valid organisation and project. When a user access request is accepted, the user is notified by email; the user can then be added to other projects by their Organisation administrator (using the Project Administration Web Part).
CaptureTransmit provides project participants with the ability to easily create, issue and track transmittals. A graphical distribution matrix enables project participants to select multiple documents to issue on a transmittal including receipt (i.e. e-mail, hard copy, etc) and version. Transmittal cover sheets for each participant are automatically generated and saved to SharePoint alongside deliverables as a record of what has been issued and when.
CaptureComment facilitates the review of project related documents, enabling users to make text comments on a document as it passes through a review/approval workflow. The final reviewer has the ability to consolidate comments from different users by including or excluding existing comments, as well as adding their own comments. A Microsoft Word (or PDF) document is built using the consolidated comments, and automatically loaded into SharePoint. CaptureVue can be used to mark-up the review document directly.
CaptureVue facilitates the review of project related documents, supporting a wide variety of native formats including Microsoft Office formats, and popular CAD formats (negating the need to install expensive CAD authoring applications).
Project participants can mark-up documents using a number of pre-defined entities (line, shapes, text, notes), and custom-built symbols, saving and retrieving mark-up layers from SharePoint.
Project Participants may collaborate real-time with other project participants, reviewing mark-ups, and making decisions using integrated chat. Collaboration sessions may be stored in SharePoint, providing a record of when and why decisions were made.
Documents may be printed, with SharePoint document attributes used in banners/watermarks. Documents may also be rendered to PDF.
