SharePoint Integration for Open Text Livelink ECM – eDOCS DM

As organisations deploy SharePoint Portal solutions, they need to maintain their investment in Livelink ECM – eDOCS DM (formerly Hummingbird Enterprise – DM) and allow users to access DM documents using this new interface.

This integration allows DM users to access their Livelink ECM – eDOCS DM documents from SharePoint 2007.

Web Parts are available:

• DM Search Web Part – allow users to explicitly search DM for documents
• DM Profile/Document Web Part – allow users to view profile and associated information, and view document
• DM Link Web Part – allow a user to specify documents/folders in a Web Part, so they may be displayed anywhere in SharePoint
• ‘Move Document’ Web Part – allow a user to move a DM document complete with profile information, versions and history into a SharePoint Document Centre

Integration with SharePoint Site/Enterprise Search is also available, allowing users to search SharePoint such that DM documents are returned in the search results. Users may then link to the profile or view the document from the search results.

The Livelink ECM eDOCS – DM security model is maintained, ensuring metadata and documents remain secure.
